White ball of light appears in Siberia leading people to fear an alien invasion.
People living in northern Siberia have been left absolutely terrified after an enormous white ball of light appeared in the sky leading many to fear that they were about to be invaded by UFOs.
The phenomenal light show was captured by a photographer named Sergey Anisimov who was in the town of Salekhard which borders the Arctic Circle. He described what he witnessed as a ‘glowing ball’ rising from behind the forest and moving in his direction.
At first, he said that he was taken aback and didn’t know what was happening but suspected that he was being tracked by an incredibly powerful searchlight. However, the speed of the ball and the change in its light presentation quickly made him realize that he was witnessing something very different. He says that the ball of white light eventually transformed into an arc and then gradually dissipated.
After snapping his pictures, Anisimov headed home where he said that he found local children as young as five in a very excited state talking about aliens and a portal to another dimension. Reports suggest that it wasn’t only children who thought that the Earth was about to be invaded by aliens. Adults also took to social media to claim that the aliens were here and attributed the light show to a UFO.
The source of the light is still unclear at this point, but it has been suggested that the white ball was caused by the trace of a rocket which was launched by the Russian military last night. According to the Russian authorities, some tests took place on the same night as the bizarre lights in the sky including the launch of an extraordinarily powerful Topol rocket from the Plesetsk cosmodrome which lies 550 miles north of Moscow.
It is claimed that the trace of the rocket could have caused the phenomenon particularly in conjunction with the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) which were particularly vivid that night.
